First let me say the service was horrible. I realize that much of the staff are young and inexperienced but come on! None of our order were correct. The hostesses could barely take the time to smile. The most attentive person in the place was the bus girl. The food was a nightmare. I had the Nantucket Sampler – the scallops were barely cooked and what was supposed to be tuna looked so bad I would not even taste it.

We tried several apps and entrees, but the fried clams were by far the best we have had. The chicken fontinella was a great combination of flavors and an entree that will bring us back soon. We also tried the veal proscuitto and that was also a unique and wonderful entree. We ended the meals with the toll house cookie pie and key lime pie which according to our server, Kristin, are home made by the restaurant. They were great and the key the best we have tried up and down the east coast including Key West! The ocean view was fantastic!

I encourage North Shore-ites and Bostonians alike to check out John Moore's latest endeavor, The Downtown Bistro & Wine Bar on Oxford Street. As the younger sister to Moore's well-established Navy Yard Bistro and Wine Bar in Charlestown, the Downtown Bistro offers well-crafted and even better tasting fare at a reasonable price. As a 14 year vegetarian, I must say that even when compared to some of the finer vegetarian-oriented restaurants, Moore's naturally meat-focused Bistro, offered one of the most unique and creative veggie dishes that I have yet to encounter. Not to mention, my carnivorous boyfriend and I both agreed that our meals included some of the freshest vegetables that we have ever tasted while dining out.

The Saltombocca has such flavor as well as a huge portion. No doubt a doggy bag accompanies you home for the next day. The enormous stuffed portabello mushroom with Dijon sauce was more than generous for an appetizer. The fried calamari appetizer had a light coating with a crunch to keep you coming back for more. This restaurant has its own special recipe for potato salad that does not include mayo. The flavor of garlic and other spices makes your mouth water. The best part is when you sit down your waitress brings you a warm loaf of crusty bread with butter. The service was truly amazing as the restaurant is cozy as you have space between you and the other tables.

The last segment of Sunday's radio show gave a zing to Casa Blanca in N. Andover, MA. The writer said it was too crowded and there was no place to park. We have eaten there 5 times. It is crowded because it is so good! As soon as you sit down the waitstaff is all over you with water, salsa, and chips. When you eat them all they'll gladly bring you more. Casa Blanca and Cafe Azteca in Lawrence are the best!

I brought my father to the Outback Steakhouse in Norwood last night, and we were not disappointed! We had the bloomin onion, which he loved. The crocks of French Onion soup were oversized, and loaded with cheese, yum. The biggest surprise was when our large prime ribs arrived. You could cut these with a fork they were so tender! It comes out as 16 ounce center cut, without much fat on it. Add the garlic mashed potatoes, and we were in heaven. We didn't have room for dessert, but that was OK. Our server Rachael was a little busy, but the manager stepped in to take our appetizer orders so I really can't complain.

The weather was beautiful to sit out on their spacious deck and that was the only positive thing I can write about my experience tonight. It took them three attempts to get a simple pizza order correct. In addition, the service was absolutely horrible. After bringing us a second wrong pizza, the manager came over and asked what our problem was instead of apologizing, and the waitress was missing in action half of the night. I don't know if it was because she was too busy, or if she was embarrassed for messing up the order.

My husband and I have been going to the Fireside Grille in Middleboro every Saturday night for almost 10 years. The service and food are consistently excellent. There is a wide variety of entrees on the menu and always 5 or 6 specials offered. My favorite is the broiled assorted seafood which is always delicious. My husband loves the baked haddock, Cajun style. Prime rib in various sizes is always offered on Saturday nights. The Fireside Grille is one of our favorite restaurants, and we have never been disappointed.

My very favorite seafood is Shrimp Scampi and my first visit to Tony's Pilla was last Tuesday evening. Our waitress, Gilen, was extremely pleasant and informative about all the wonderful selections on the menu. I asked her about the Shrimp Scampi and she highly recommended it. It was absolutely the very best I have ever had. My friend ordered Angel Hair Pasta and meatballs and was just as pleased. The size of the meatballs were unbelievable. Enjoy your show and listen every Sunday when possible.

The food was served only warm to the touch, and unsatisfying to taste, the tea was cool and the overall atmosphere was cold and uninviting. The food was unsatisfactory to the taste. When the bill came I questioned the waiter about an extra $3.85. He said it was for the tea. I couldn't believe it. I told him I had never been charged for tea in a Chinese restaurant. I asked to speak to the manager and told him about our dining experience. He told us that our food should not have been served cold and we should have been more satisfied. We then left, feeling let down and dissatisfied with the whole dining experience.

We four visited this place on Sunday night and sat outside ocean view. We had been for breakfast and everything was good so let’s try dinner. Entrees ordered we relaxed and waited, and waited, and then waited some more. Three fisherman platters and one seared scallops how long can this take. Two fisherman platters and the seared scallops arrive and we waited for the fourth entree. Five minutes later and forced to eat without all partied being served. The only fish to be served HOT was the piece of haddock. I could not locate any scallops and all of the clams were luke warm. I spoke to our server who said she would replace our plates, after waiting as long as we did I said no thank you.

This restaurant just opened approx 3 wks ago. Went there while on vacation. Very small, cozy atmosphere a little noisy but not bad. Owner and staff were exceptional polite, friendly, and accommodating. Service was spectacular. Food was equally good. Unbelievable wine and martini list. There was 9 of us - not one was disappointed. Would strongly suggest reservations. A casual yet fine dining restaurant.

Location - on Kingston Lake (nice view). Comfortable seating. Place order, you pick up. Has always been OK. BUT, this eve
ning was a zinger!! Friend had Prime Rib, which he said didn't look or taste like any prime rib he had before. Salad (at least he got his). Dried up greens, thin slice onion, thin slice tomato, dressing -not sure what it was. My dinner broiled sea scallops - scallops (3 of them) very large - not cooked enough and it looked like they threw a handful of dried bread crumbs over the top, which I scrapped off.

I recently had lunch with a friend and I found the food to be very pricey for the portions served. Because the service staff consisted of a waiter and a cook, who also served as the bartender, the service was very slow. The dining room, where lunch was served was closed off from the rest of the restaurant, making the room very close, small and congested, allowing conversations from surrounding tables to usurp one's own table conversation.

The first visit to this restaurant, I was very pleased. Ordered the ribs, which were very juicy, tender and meaty. I revisited the restaurant a couple of weeks later and it took about 25 minutes to get our dinners and before we could order dessert they came around telling us they were closing. The ribs this time were very dried up and the meat on the top of the ribs were so chewy. There was no meat and were completely unsatisfying. I wrote a complaint to the restaurant on one of their suggestion comment cards- as well as called the restaurant the next day. The manager had informed me that he knew someone had complained about the ribs but that since you took them home he didn't think there was a problem. I offered to take them back to the restaurant and he said well they have been sitting over night and that would be no indication. He didn't seem like he wanted to remedy the situation and wasn't sincere. He didn't really want to acknowledge the fact that the ribs were so horrible and shouldn't have been served to a customer. Needless to say I was completely offended.

The menu is contemporary gourmet cuisine. It is also very 'kid' friendly with a separate children’s menu. I had the crab cakes which were the best that I have ever had anywhere (filled with crabmeat and rolled in a shredded Phyllo dough which made them crispy and delightful). My husband had the Burger. It was served with a roasted portabella, wilted spinach, tomato chutney, apple wood smoked bacon and cheddar. The two other members in our party opted for a vegetarian platter which was made especially for them. The service was outstanding. Our waiter, Kevin, was so accommodating and attentive to our requests.

We ate on the deck at the Tap recently on a crowded Wednesday evening. It appeared that the staff was not equipped to handle a crowd, because the service was slow, and the food was not particularly well prepared. Our nachos arrived poorly prepared, with minimal chicken and cheese, and no salsa. The quiche was flat. The greens in the Caesar Salad were brown, and too much dressing was added. They ran out of ribs, and our martinis were served in Margarita glasses.

Went there with my wife about a week ago. We called ahead for seating and although there was the usual long waiting line outside the door, we were seated right away. If you like beef, which my wife does, you'll have a huge selection to choose from. She had a steak and ribs combo and thought it was wonderful. I had shrimp on the skewer with rice and salad and a huge delicious baked potato. Everything was really great.
