The food was delivered fast at first. Meal was served on one plate; it contained a very small salad with 1 slice of cucumber. Half of the salad was cold and crisp while the other half was unpleasantly warm from the thick slice of meat loaf resting next to it. Meatloaf had a good flavor. Potatoes arrived without the butter I requested. By the time I got it, the potatoes were cold. Roughly $13.00 for a meat loaf dinner not including the tip. I had to flag someone down to pay my bill as my waitress did not come back after delivering the meal.

Wow! What an awesome place! Walls are covered with pictures of famous people of the past and some well known restaurant patrons of today. The waitresses are attired in poodle style skirts, bobby socks and ribbons in their hair. Breakfast is amazing in price and portion size. Only a few draw backs: long waiting lines at both entrances and not enough parking.

I heard about this place that has great chicken wings. I stopped in for their so called famous wings and they were a waste of my $15.00. They were hard dry and bitter taste. I was very disappointed came with foccacia bread that was hard also; I was wondering why it only took 5 minutes wait. In my opinion they just warm them up in their so call famous brick oven.

Instead of the ambiance of Boston's Copley rooftop skyline, we were seated at a dark, isolated table with no view. After being ignored for 15 minutes, our waiter finally arrived to introduce himself. When we complained of claustrophobia, he brought us to a small third row table in the main dining area. Our orders were taken, but after a lengthy wait, our order of calamari arrived cold. My wife's scrod was delicious, but my sons' fried clam dinners were over-cooked on the outside and raw in the inside.

Beijing Restaurant

Beijing was a longtime favorite restaurant of ours. It used to have some of the better prepared dishes outside of Boston. The new updated version has failed to maintain the previous levels of service and food quality we had come to expect. The 'homemade' Peking ravioli are frozen, the General Cho's chicken was bland and merely sticky, the Chun Liu pork had no 'kick' and worst of all, the Yu Hsang broccoli was severely overcooked and served in a watery, flavorless broth.

It had been sometime since I had been to the Bistro 44 and I have to say they have made great strides there. From the capable staff to the food and the overall service these guy's are doing really good stuff. Chef Jayson DeMarco and his talented team have a nicely put together menu that includes plenty of Seafood choices as well as several steaks. We had attentive without being overdone service from the friendly, capable and professional staff.

WOW!! The freshest food, cleanest Chinese Food Restaurant I have eaten in. Wholesome, freshly prepared, I had the Chinatown ribs to start. Never have I seen so much meat in a rib. Their soups are great too. I had a bowl of Pork Won Ton Soup, it was almost as good as mom's chicken soup... almost! Their Crispy Shrimp dish is awesome as everything else on their menu. The wait staff is attentive, but not overbearing. The open kitchen let's you know you food is being prepared to order. Visit once, it will be your place to go for Chinese food.

Food was great, presentation, taste and cooked as requested. But, I was not told a one price menu at time of reservation. Had to ask for the wine aspect that was noted on the menu, but not told by waitress to ask for it. Took too long to get drinks, although meals came out properly and on time. I went on your last Sunday's recommendation.

Avenue One is in the Hyatt in the theater district. The layout of the restaurant is lovely, with several tiers of seating keeping an open feel but minimizing crowd noise. The evening we were there, there was a wonderful jazz combo playing and setting a delightfully romantic mood throughout the evening (they also won bonus points for a particularly lovely rendition of our song request). Our server was attentive, pleasant, and knowledgeable. The menu was creative without being too unusual, and included wine pairings for each entree, although we discussed other options with the helpful and knowledgeable sommelier, who made excellent suggestions based on our own preferences. I had the lobster tail and salmon, which was cooked to perfection, with a crunchy caramelized coating and buttery moist inside. My fiancé had a filet mignon that was flavorful and very tender. The presentation of all the dishes was beautiful and appealing. Appetizers, salads, and entrees were all generous but not overwhelming portions. All in all, a wonderful upscale dining experience!

I have been hearing about this restaurant for a few months so I thought my wife and I would give it a try. We decided to eat in the lounge area which has a nice decor and an intimate atmosphere. Our drinks did not arrive until after our appetizers. The bar tenders were rude and loud. The food was just average and the server was more interested with the customers at the bar. I guess next time we get a babysitter we will try a place closer to Boston with a more professional staff.

We went for dinner to celebrate my husband's birthday, which we didn't tell anyone at the restaurant beforehand. We had appetizers (bruschetta and buffalo calamari with an incredible blue cheese dip, both were excellent). All of us loved our entrees (scallop puttanesca, Mediterranean seafood pasta dish, and shrimp scampi)! The very best part came with the dessert--our waitress, who was friendly, knowledgeable overheard that it was my husband's birthday and turned dessert into a show! All of a sudden, Sinatra stopped, and a funky version of 'Happy Birthday' came over the speaker system, all of the colorful lighting that they have in the dining area blinked in unison to the song, and out came the waitress with my husband's cake on a flashing cake stand that also sang happy birthday.

All I can say is what a Letdown. We were seated in a booth that was a bit cramped and we asked to be moved but were told everything was reserved and 4 people could not sit in a booth for 6. We ordered two dinners for two but because we sat at the table with only one burner we were only allowed to choose one type of appetizers and one type of cooking oil. Our group had different tastes but we were told to just make a mutual decision. No one filled all the empty tables during the 2-1/2 hours we were there. Worst of all they seated 4 people in the 6 table right opposite us a little while later and we watched them order the same meals we did and they got twice as much food as we did because they had two cooking pots vs our one. When the owner came over to hear our complaint, although she was nice, the complaint fell on deaf ears. For $250 for 4 it was absolutely not worth the money and we will not be returning.
