This was our third year in a row having Thanksgiving dinner at Jackson’s. Our family of 12 were seated and serviced by a fantastic wait staff. Everything from the decor, the service, and especially the great food were excellent. Thanks to all of the Jackson’s staff for making our day!

This was a disaster from start to finish. Waited 40 minutes for food. No appetizer, waitress said she forgot to put it in. The mashed potatoes were cold. Vegetables not brought out. No rolls while we were waiting. Waitress unapologetic. Manager, Mark was nice didn't charge us. Brought out the forgotten appetizers, but we didn't want them at this point.

Was seated promptly Sunday evening about 4:45. Waiters were rude, rushed us, yelled about how many people they lost that night and or gained, argued about who had what table, etc. food was huge disappointment- tough gnocchi, ice cold green beans, luke warm mashed potatoes. We couldn’t wait to get out of the place!

Excellent dining experience. Hostess and wait staff were friendly, service was impeccable. Started off with hot bread and breadsticks which were fresh and delicious. My wife had Chicken Parm with linguini and I had the Veal Parm. The meal was delicious. Veal was fresh and well prepared, and the sauce is absolute Italian sauce perfection. The portions were huge.

Ristorante Marcellino
11 Cooper Street, Waltham, MA

Wonderful food and attentive, gracious service for a group of 18, on short notice! We hurriedly put together a family and friends event for 18 people. We had never been to Marcellino before, but read about it on nedine.com. We spoke with Antonio (the owner, with his father) by phone 4-5 times to arrange the many details. On Saturday when we all arrived everything was ready in our own beautiful, private room. Everything was just as we requested, discussed and agreed with Antonio by phone. After the huge appetizers and pasta most of us took half of our dinner’s home! The restaurant is beautiful inside and out (it looks like an Italian villa) and is warm and comfortable.

Antipasto comprised of a little mixed greens, tomatoes, diced, undecipherable tasteless cheese, a few olives, all smothered in bottled dressing; no pepperoncini! Tortellini Soup was a tomato concoction with 3 tortellini thrown in for good measure. Wife had Chicken Piccata, a chicken breast slab thrown over a heap of pasta, with diced tomatoes and fresh mushrooms in a tasteless lemon.

What a gem of a restaurant for lunch or dinner. Chef/owner creates dishes that are wonderfully prepared and presented. The dining room is small and intimate, and reservations are recommended. This is a place perfect for a holiday dinner or other special occasions.

We went to Angelica’s and had such a wonderful experience. The variety of appetizers was unbelievable. I had haddock casserole and it was tangy and delicious. My date had steak cooked to his liking. Our meals also came with dessert – strawberry sundae.

New Tokyo
The Loop, Methuen, MA
(978) 725-8888
The New Tokyo impresses as soon as one walks inside, with a hip decor, a tiny though jaunty bar, small sushi bar and separate regular dining and teppanayaki table areas. We haven't had full dinners, yet, or tried the teppanayaki area, but prices are reasonable, the staff is friendly, attractive, speedy and attentive, and though it's only been open a few months, the New Tokyo seems to be doing a brisk business.

I know opinions vary, but I simply cannot believe the positive reviews I've been reading about Casa Blanca. Unless I was there on an exceptionally bad night, I wonder if other reviewers' experience with Mexican food is limited to high school cafeterias. First, the good news: The owners (presumably) are extremely friendly, and patrons are greeted warmly and seated promptly. The bad news: Everything else. The food is bland, non-inventive and, in some cases, downright inedible.

I just discovered the Little Red Smoke House! It’s a BBQ restaurant that will set your appetite a Blaze. The wings fall off the bone and the ribs are mouth watering. It is very family friendly and the atmosphere is great. It is right around the corner from Edaville Railroad. Great comfort food after a very cold train ride. The Pumpkin spice coffee drink special also helps to take the chill off.

When I'm in Boston I always stop and see my friend Chef Jayson Demarco at the Bistro 44. He is my Top Chef! The food is always awesome! The fish is really hot and spicy and the diver scallops are the size of hockey pucks! Not too mention the martinis are the best in town!

Wife ordered Baked Stuffed Shrimp. Three small to medium dry shrimp with even drier breadcrumbs and a quartered sweet potato that was just as dry as dust. No butter or sauce of any kind on it. No garnish either. The entire shells of the shrimp, including the legs, were left on. She also ordered a warm bacon dressing spinach salad. Dressing was cold so it just sat on it in a puddle. When asked how everything was, she told him everything, he said that he was sorry, and walked away.

The appetizer of coconut shrimp was very good. The presentation of meals was very appealing. I had Haddock and my friend had Steak Tips. There were many choices for sides and the food was delicious. We made room for the Key Lime Pie which was served with a raspberry sauce. I definitely would go again and recommend this to friends.

The food is some of the best quality that we have encountered in any restaurant, at an average price range. Everyone from the greeter, to the waiter, to the gentleman that constantly kept the water glass full, were nothing short of fabulous, polite and respectful towards their new patrons. We will be going back again, very shortly, with many friends and relatives.

Our six person swim group enjoyed a lunch at Andover Country Club restaurant yesterday. From the moment we walked in, greeted warmly, served graciously by our waitress, Allison, our lunch will be a fond Christmas memory. Christmas decorations were simple and beautiful elegance. Everyone enjoyed their lunch--two of us had grilled Reuben sandwiches-delicious-with choice of French fries, onion rings or fresh fruit. Also we had pumpkin soup (I have never had any better) (just the right amount of spices and pulp). I look forward to being there again very soon with family and friends.

Been eating filet of sole there for 25+ years. On my last visit I ordered the sole as I usually do about once a month. When it arrived it was 3 inched thick and real dark in color. I informed the waiter that this appeared to be something else other than sole. He informed me they use haddock. I informed him that filet of sole is flounder not haddock and I had been eating it there for 25 years.

Three of us went here last Sunday and each ordered something different. We got fried clams, haddock, and scallops, with French fries and coleslaw. The food was excellent, the quantity was ample, and the price was right. The only exception was the coleslaw which was horrible and uneatable. We go here often and are never disappointed. It is a place your order and seat yourself restaurant, no servers.

We have been going to the Windham Restaurant for quite some time now and we have never had a bad meal, in fact, each time we go its better and better. The atmosphere is friendly, casual to very romantic. There are also new entrees added to the menu. As you enter you receive a fabulous family type greeting from the host, who also knows who you are from your previous visits. It's a great restaurant with great food and prices.

With the hectic bustle of the Christmas holiday, I and my fiancée Christine decided to try a recommended spot nearby for the first time. I found the atmosphere delightful (Christmas music playing softly), a smaller Chinese restaurant with prompt, friendly service at a reasonable price. My General Taos Chicken and my fiancée’s Sweet and Sour Chicken were hot with the House Fried Rice just a delightful blend of Chicken, Beef and Shrimp. The bowl of Hot and Sour Soup hit the spot after our recent snowstorm. I am glad we gave it a try and will return again.

I recently visited my daughter in Billerica and she took me to a small Italian restaurant called Mangia Mangia. The food was terrific. I had the Italian platter which had lasagna chicken and eggplant parm meatballs and sausage needless to say I had to bring some home. My daughter had the Gamberi pizza which was out of this world. I don't live close by this restaurant but would absolutely go back.
