We shared a meal at lunch time and felt satisfied. Kashmir Naan – fruit and nut stuffed, bread served warm – delicious. Baingan Bharta– a roasted eggplant dish with wonderful flavor that didn’t need the condiments that accompany Indian food. The Goa Shrimp Curry was my favorite, with crisp, cooked perfectly shrimp.

Aside from its charming and warm decor, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Joseph's menu offers numerous creative and appealing selections. But I'm especially biased in favor of his delicious Maryland Lump Meat Crab cakes appetizer, which is the best I've experienced in New England. And his Fall Pear Salad, with poached pear topped with sun dried cranberries, walnuts and gorgonzola cheese over field greens with champagne vinaigrette, is outstanding. However, I was lifted to another high level of culinary delight with Joseph's Parmesan Crusted Swordfish Steak, which was itself not only mouthwatering, tasteful, tender and thick, but cooked to perfection.

Quant Family oriented restaurant with outstanding fresh food at very reasonable prices. The atmosphere is relaxing, the service is prompt and you'll never leave disappointed. Meals come with cottage and cheddar spreads with crackers, soup or salad and potato or vegetable. Meals range in value from $10-20, with most being about $14. In particular, I suggest the Bake Stuffed Shrimp or Prime Rib. Five (5) Jumbo Shrimp baked in a casserole with a light bread topping. The Prime Rib is sliced to order, extremely tender and juicy.

We had the Ghobi Pakoras (Fried Cauliflower) for an appetizer and it was great. I had the Chicken Madras and my wife had Chicken Do Piaza. We love food, the atmosphere is far from your ordinary restaurant. Luckily I had a take home menu to help with the names of the food. Try Balti for a really spicy Afgani dish.

This new establishment has gotten off to a wonderful start! Our party of 6 started off with a few appetizers I would recommend the calamari; I never had it like that before, spicy and tender. The nachos were great, we couldn’t seem to get enough, also great presentation. We tried ahi tuna, steak tips and fish and chips. All were cooked to perfection and well presented. All plates went back to the kitchen empty! Service was efficient and friendly. The restaurant is clean and easily accessible.

This is a small restaurant and their menu is mainly Italian and Seafood. All food is made to order with the freshest and most delicious ingredients, so be prepared for a bit of a wait, but it is well worth it. The homemade Risotto Cakes are 'to die for' , the veal parm, spaghetti and meatballs, veal marsala (the best I ever had) melt in your mouth. Everything on the menu is magnificent!

After eating their pasta and dinners which were far from memorable we received our bill ($315 for 5 women, with one entree each, 2 shared apps and 2 shared common place desserts, 8 glasses of wine). The waitress took it upon herself to include a 20% gratuity to the total (after taxes). When questioned about the gratuity policy she became loud and offensive. Our group always tips 20% or more. When a restaurant adds the gratuity, we add the extra 2%-5% to the total anyway. To spend $63 per person, for a meal that does not warrant a return visit or a satisfied dinning experience, and then to be insulted is truly inexcusable.

The menu has something for everyone, including those who like a more exotic fare such as ostrich or wild boar. The New England Cranberry Duck Salad was outstanding and the endless Angel Hair with Meat Sauce was light and delicious. The best angel hair my mom has had in a long time. I just want to say that the new owners of the Upper Crust in North Andover have done a great job in renovating the restaurant. It is now cozy and a welcoming environment now under the new family ownership. Their staff are warm, friendly and caring. They have in our opinion the best North End style pizza, thin crust and the sauce is to die for! We go back every Friday night for barbs and pizza and my kids who are very picky eaters always order their buffalo tenders and chicken fingers. Keep up the great work and see you on Friday!

I attended a retirement party here and have never forgotten it. This place is in a small strip mall and do not be fooled by that. The food (in my opinion) was equivalent of the Four Seasons. I ordered two dinners; one to take home which was ravioli stuffed with a creamy squash, and the other served at the retirement party was a spectacular shrimp dish. I was very surprised at the gourmet quality of the food.

I’ve never written a fan letter before, especially for a restaurant, but for Ristorante Villaggio, I’ll make an exception. The Fisherman’s Platter for 2 was enormous and the Veal Parm at $15.99 is more then anyone can finish. Taste and price wise – you can’t beat this place. The main building is circa 1696 and the original kitchen in still intact. What a find.

This is for Mary who hated a restaurant because her grilled cheese was too greasy. What to expect from a meal that has three ingredients, two of which are butter and cheese? What would have been a satisfactory price for you Mary? 2.50? Give me your address and I’ll send you the buck. Mary, ladies and gentlemen, it’s just more proof that some people should stay home and...DO IT THEMSELVES.

We’ve visited many of the restaurants you’ve recommended on your restaurant program. By far, Ristorante Lucia is one of the best. Wonderful, authentic Italian cuisine with so many selections on the menu, it’s difficult to choose. The wait staff is friendly and attentive, the drinks are generous, and the house wine is sublime. We hosted a party there for six of our friends. The conversation was spirited and lively but all talk stopped when we began eating. Every dish was beautifully presented and mouth-wateringly delicious. Towards the end of the evening, Chef Filippo stopped by our table. What a treat! He entertained us with tricks and riddles. Such a delightful, clever, and charming man.

I recently visited this fairly new Mexican Restaurant located in the Red Tavern in Methuen. From the moment we walked in, to the time we left, we were treated like family. When we walked through the door it was like stepping into a Cantina in Mexico. The decor is colorful, festive, and from what I can see authentic as the food is. I had a Seafood Burrito that was not disappointing. Desserts are wonderful too. Three of us ate from one dessert, which was more than enough.

The restaurant is small and they seemed unprepared when we entered, having a reservation is a good idea. We were soon made welcome and became happy with a glass of wine and some crusty bread to dip in olive oil. The special included meatballs that sounded so good I paired it up with some pasta. I could not get enough of this basic meal; the meatballs and the sauce are great.

A few weeks ago my wife and I were shopping for Christmas and went to Vinny T’s. We both ordered veal cutlets with penne and it took six minutes? The food was burnt and it was covered with a very bad tasting tomato sauce. We were not served salad or garlic bread. Zing
I just heard a zing for The Metro restaurant in Portsmouth, NH. I feel that this was simply unnecessary for two reasons. The first is that The Metro is closing its doors as of January 1, 2007. The second is that if you are so unfamiliar with a restaurant, a Portsmouth institution at that, you have no business ordering from the establishment. It's akin to going to a distant city, opening the phonebook and ordering from a randomly picked restaurant. You don't know the type of food, price, take out policy etc. The Metro was, and is, a fantastic restaurant and that zing was from an uninformed patron.

I ordered steak tips and the portions were so large that I brought half home for dinner the next night. They were cooked as ordered and melted in your mouth tender. From the minute I entered this place to the second I left, I felt like I was not wanted there. The woman at the restaurant spent the entire time screaming at her two small children who were running around the bar and up to diners, or screaming at whomever was in the kitchen. The food at the lunch buffet ($5.75) was mixed, some items were decent, but lukewarm or very old and dried out, and nothing was refilled even though some trays sat empty the entire time I was there. My soda ($1.50) was never refilled, nor were the dirty plates removed when I went up for dessert or soup.
