1956- 2006 (50 YEARS)! In 1956, The Village Restaurant, with 5 booths and 7 counter stools, first opened its doors to the natives of Cape Ann, serving 50-cents clam rolls, 80-cent lobster salad sandwiches, and 25-cent cups of chowder.  In this year of 2006, the Village, having grown to over 200 seats and having garnered acclaim on the local, national, and international level, is celebrating 50 years of operation under the same family ownership.

Gourmet Magazine, Saveur, and the Boston Globe have all sung their praises! Whether you are a seafood lover, a vegetarian or a meat lover in quest for the perfect sirloin, the Village offers affordable prices in an atmosphere that is both friendly and casual.

New Review! From the Book NEW ENGLAND’S FAVORITE SEAFOOD SHACKS…. “Every town deserves a place like the Village – it’s a casually elegant joint that caters to the locals but maintains world-class standards in the kitchen!”
