1-cup Brown Flour
1-cup White Flour
16-oz Buttermilk
1-tsp Table Salt
1-tsp Baking Soda
4-TBS Butter

Go to the Irish section of Stop & Shop and buy Adlum's Brown Flour. To make one "Cake" as it's called in Ireland.

Mix the brown flour, white flour, buttermilk, salt, baking soda and butter. Knead lightly- form into a round cake. Cut cross with a knife. Bake on floured, greased baking sheet at 350-degrees for 50 minutes or when you knock on the top of the cake and it makes a hollow sound.
